Al mudarse a la casa de su difunto abuelo, el joven Jack hereda el perro del anciano, Skipper (Norm MacDonald), ¡quién puede hablar! Jack une fuerzas con un trío de niños vecinos inteligentes, una chica gótica, una socialité y un bromista, para encontrar el valioso botín, con Skipper a la cabeza. Pero, ¿pueden dejar atrás a los ladrones descarados y torpes que no se detendrán ante nada para hacerse con el premio por sí mismos?
